RV Inverter - Allowing RV Owners to be Self Contained.

Installing a quality RV Inverter like one of the Xantrex products below, allows RV owners to run Microwaves, DVD Players, TV's, computers and other appliances without the need to be connected to an electrical hookup or running a generator. An RV Inverter converts 12v DC power from the batteries and provides 120v AC power that can be used to run a number of appliances. Depending on the RV Inverter capacity it can run either small appliances or large appliances safely. The smaller RV Inverters do not need to be installed. They plug into the cigarette lighter as a supply for their 12v power. These RV Inverters are perfect for powering laptop computers and small TV's as well as other small appliances.

RV Inverters - Large Appliances Require a Larger RV Inverter.

Larger appliances require more sophisticated inverters. Xantrex provides a wide range of high quality RV Inverters that are reliable and provide a high degree of quality, that help protect your appliances from damage. There are two general types of RV Inverters: true-sine wave or modified-sine wave. A True-sine wave RV Inverter produces power that is equal to or better than the power from the public utility power system. Modified-sine wave RV Inverters produce a power wave that is not of the same quality as the public utility power system. Modified-sine wave RV Inverters are sufficient for most devices. More specialized devices that might require a true-sine wave RV Inverter are: Fax Machines, Electric Shavers, Laser printers, oxygen machines and equipment with variable speed motors.
